What is the Supervised Business Experience?
SBE is a program offered to many of Ste. Genevieve’s Junior and Senior students. With SBE you’ll be able to work alongside your community in multiple job opportunities inside Ste. Genevieve and Bloomsdale. SBE allows you to go to work, earn your credits, and earn money simultaneously. Some students work 1 hour out of their school day while some work 3! The SBE program can help you get a jump start into the life of adulthood or even your dream career!
What are the benefits?
School Credit-
While in the SBE program, you can still work on bringing together your 24 required credits. Similar to a year-long class you can gain an elective credit as long as you make the required hours. The SBE program helps you work at 3 things at once!
Professional Experience-
SBE is not just a place to work at a gas station. It is where you can find a professional job and get hands-on experience in the career of your dreams or future occupation ideas. You have the opportunity to work in various fields such as hospitals, pharmacies, veterinary clinics, police departments, and insurance offices, among others.
Personal Growth-
The SBE program doesn’t just have a limited-time effect on your life, you will discover things about yourself you may not know yet, working at a professional job will help you get your name inside many businesses while also working on life skills such as time and financial management, build confidence alongside your success.
